magazine.
Joined a Belgian Press Agency called Photo News Service
in 1962.
Was given the possibility to work in Paris with that agency's French partners, Les
Reporters Associés .
Later this agency would split into the well known GAMMA and SYGMA agencies.
Back in Brussels became head of the staff photographers.
Start own bureau in 1971 and became the founder-president of Vanderhaegen Bvba. Worked on major assignments
throughout the world.

In 1991 VDH Photo-Import
was founded and Katrien Vanderhaegen, his daughter, quickly developed this part of
the company into a very successful department.
In September 1998 she founds her own company called VDH
Photo Supplies and she merges with a company that was called
Belgium Minilab Supplies.
Today, besides his photo carrier, he is a consultant for Katrien Vanderhaegen and is responsible for the PR side of her company, the scouting and advertising of her products.
